US Civil War Prov Tool Co. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword Saber

S Civil War Model 1860 Cavalry Officers Sword. The ricasso is partially-and faintly marked "P" over "TO" over "C", it's not much but is enough to say this is a "Prov Tool Co." Sword. The rim of the pommel cap has a "169" on it, and a "33" on the side. The guard has a "98" on one side of the branch near the pommel, a "64" and "69" are on the reverse. The guard and grip are tight, the leather is 60% complete and the twisted wire wrap is 100% complete.
The entire guard and grip were painted black at some point, most of it has come off. The blade is unsharpened, the tip is sharp, a few minor nicks along the edge, light age spots scattered throughout, and there is a slight bend about 10" up from the tip. The leather washer is intact. No scabbard. Length of the blade is 35" (1 1/16" wide and 5/16" thick) and overall the sword is 40 3/4".
