    Description

Post US Civil War Model 1860 Staff & Field Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked "Jacob Reeds' Sons", over "Philadelphia PA.". The guard and grip are tight. The grip shows light wear and there is a small spot of wood exposed by the pommel. The twisted wire is complete but slightly loose. The clamshell has the typical eagle with flags on it. The knuckleguard is twisted. The etched blade is straight, unsharpened, has light spots scattered throughout and a tiny bit of minor surface rust. The NCO style scabbard is solid, freckles scattered throughout, and has a couple little bends near the drag (including one on the bottom edge of the drag). The washer is missing. Length of the blade measures 31 7/8"
    (3/4" wide x 1/8" thick)
, length of the sword is 37 5/16", and overall in the scabbard it is 38 3/8".
