US Civil War Emerson & Silver Model 1860 Cavalry Sword Saber w/Scabbard

S Civil War Model 1860 Cavalry Officers Sword with Scabbard. The ricasso is partially marked "erson & ilver" over "renton" over "N.J." and on the reverse "U.S." over "J.M.". The pommel cap has a "J.M" on the top and a "69" on the side. The guard and grip are a little loose. The leather grip is 95% complete and the twisted wire wrap is 100% complete.
The knuckleguard is a little deformed. The blade is straight, unsharpened, the tip is sharp, has some nicks along the edge, age spots scattered throughout, and light pitting by the tip. The scabbard is solid, the throat has a faint "M" and the drag has a faint "JM", there is some light surface rust throughout, it has a pinch/split dent on both sides about 6" up from the drag that has also caused a little bend that doesn't affect the sword in/out, and one other small dent at about the halfway point. The leather washer is intact. Length of the blade is 34 7/8" (1 1/16" wide and 5/16" thick), the sword is 40 7/8", and in the scabbard it is 42 1/2".
