    Description

February 8, 1779 South Carolina Colonial Fr SC-158 PMG AU-55 EPQ
From a series of notes printed by Thomas Coram that are considered by many to be amongst the most attractive and desirable colonial notes. On the face, a warrior holds a spear and a 13 star shield. On the back, Hercules represents America winning over the Nemean lion representing Great Britain. This example exhibits strong inks, original paper and is very well centered for the issue. Most examples can't compare and few are finer.
