Antique Chinese Red Painted Wood Food Wedding Basket
. It measures 7.5" high (17.5" to the tip of the handle) by approximately 9" wide, and weights about 3 pounds. This lidded basked closes very tightly. It comes from the estate of a South Florida's collector of African and Chinese antique art. As shown on the last two photos, there are signs of wear underneath the lid and inside the basket, which are consistent with its age.
